Narcissus

This artwork is a pointillistic vision of the myth of Narcissus who, heartbroken and self-absorbed, transformed into the narcissist flower. Rejecting all love from others, Narcissus finds only their own reflection to be sufficient. In some versions of the myth, Narcissus attempts to kiss their refection and with this attempt, falls into the pond and drowns. This piece captures the pivotal moment of Narcissus’s infatuation with their own image, illustrating the perilous consequences of vanity and self-obsession. This print is on heavy, glossy 68 lb paper.
